About Strategy

Strategy is a way of thinking that allows a single person, a group, a government or a group of states to achieve their objective. Dr. Laure Paquette is Associate Professor of Political Science, and she teaches and researches this area. She has published a number of articles and several books in this area.  She has also edited a collection of readings.   Dr. Paquette offers workshops which increase the development of strategic thinking.  Her audiences so far have included student teachers, community activists and Fortune 500 executives.

About Professor Paquette

Dr. Laure Paquette specializes in the study and teaching of strategy in all its forms, including military applications. She is particularly interested in political strategy for various minorities or individuals traditionally regarded as powerless. She received her Ph.D. from Queen's University in 1993. She has lectured on strategy in France, Israel, China, Japan, South Korea, and Canada. She held the Barton Fellowship in 1989-90, the Japan Foundation Fellowship in 1996-97, and the NATO Fellowship in 1998-2000. She will be teaching advocacy and lobbying at Rutgers University in 2000-2001. She is fluent in English and French. She is the author of numerous articles and is working on several manuscripts.
