Kinesiology

The study of human movement.  At Lakehead University the School of Kinesiology studies human movement within a variety of contexts, including but not limited to: anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, psychology, sociology, motor control, adapted, and sociocultural.

The School of Kinesiology at Lakehead University is committed to advancing an understanding of the science of human movement.  While fostering scholarship in a creative learning environment, we are dedicated to preparing our students for the practice of kinesiology.  We serve as strong advocates of the importance of physical activity in health and education.
