Eurasian Wryneck
![]() An unusual member of the woodpecker family, the intricately marked grey, brown, buff and black plumage of the Eurasian Wryneck looks remarkably like tree bark and gives the bird excellent camouflage. Name derived from the habit of twisting its neck round.
